MaryEllen Webb

MaryEllen Webb, dearest mother, grandmother and sister, returned to live with our Father in Heaven, Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Eagar. She was 88 years old. MaryEllen was born September 26, 1933 in St. Johns to Parley J. Heap and Leona Wilkins Heap.

MaryEllen talked of the wonderful childhood she enjoyed while growing up in St. Johns. She was very involved in her high school and was the Valedictorian of her graduating class. She attended Brigham Young University for a time and then went on to graduate from Arizona State University with a teaching degree.

MaryEllen met her eternal sweetheart Marion Barry Webb during her high school years and they married June 29, 1954 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were married for almost 60 years.

MaryEllen taught school for 30 years. She loved it and was an amazing teacher. She took pride in her lessons and her classroom. She was loved by her students and was considered a favorite by so many of them. She also really enjoyed her association with the other teachers and administration.

MaryEllen has a beautiful soprano voice and loved music. She and Barry also loved their friends which included her siblings and their spouses and spent many hours enjoying life with them. MaryEllen had a strong testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and instilled that in her children.

MaryEllen is survived by her children, Danna (Ronnie) Finch, Eagar; Leisha (Lenn) Brown, Mesa; Natalie (Scott) Taylor, Cottonwood; Tray (Melissa) Webb, Marana; sister, LaKay (Joey) Grant, St. Johns; brother, Theo (Gloria) Heap, Mesa; 23 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Barry Webb, parents, Parley and Leona Heap, brothers, Verl Heap, Ronald Heap and sister, Peggy Stradling.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
