Margaret Ellen Lonergan Davis

Margaret Ellen Davis, 80, passed away, Monday, June 5, 2023 in Eagar. She was born January 21, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Nelson Henry Lonergan and Florence Theresa Link.

Margaret was an adventurous, wonderful and joyous spirit who would bring a smile to those she spent time with and always made you feel loved no matter the circumstances, good or bad. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who enjoyed traveling across the United States visiting her family, children and grandchildren. After spending over 50 years as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she raised her family, helping newborns overcome various illnesses and challenges at the beginning of their lives, she retired to Bayfield, Colorado.

She was a wonderful mother that raised her 4 rowdy boys and passionate daughter that have all gone on to fulfilling and successful lives raising their own families. During her later years she was always able to find time to visit and help raise her 15 grandchildren.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, worldwide traveling, knitting, gardening, hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Margaret is survived by her children, Mary (David) Elliott, Eagar; Robert Davis, Albuquerque, New Mexico; John (Dara) Davis, St. Louis, Missouri; James (Suesan) Davis, Bayfield, Colorado; Bryan (Mindy) Davis, Centerville, Virginia; siblings, John (JoAnne) Lonergan, James (Mary) Lonergan, Jane Woest, Kathy (Bob) Willis, Tom (Irene) Lonergan, Richard Lonergan, Michael Lonergan, 15 grandchildren, Chad Davis, Santana Dehlerrera, Cody Elliott, Karri Elliott, Kelli Lann, Ocianna Larson, Joshua Davis, Kaleb Davis, Daniel Davis, Cassidy Davis, Annelies Davis, Gavin Davis, Aedan Davis, Adonia Davis, Adelaide Davis and 1 great grandchild, Avalee Lann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lenore Johnston and brother-in-law, James Woest.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at the Life in Christ Fellowship Church.
