Ellen Fay Taylor, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Phoenix. She was born June 27, 1944 in Eagar, Arizona, the daughter of William Clyde Finch and Pearl Norton.
Our mom Ellen was known throughout her life as a feisty redhead. She raised five kids and was married to our sweet dad for nearly 50 years. She worked for many years at the Sapphire restaurant; first as a cook, then a waitress.
Ellen was known and loved by many. She was born, raised and lived her whole life in Round Valley. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and our dad were sealed together in 1990 at the Mesa Temple. Ellen passed down her strong faith and her love of Jesus Christ to all of her kids. She loved her grandkids and spent a lot of time with the ones that lived nearby. She was known as granny to lots of other kids that spent time in her home. She was famous for her green chili and beans, she loved to can and she was good at growing things.
Cancer took her quickly and we believe that’s how she would have wanted it. Dad and our sister Michelle have been waiting for her on the other side and we know it was a glorious reunion!
Ellen is survived by her children, Randy (Vivian) Taylor, Sandy (James) Soresi, Eddie (Beth) Taylor, Connie (David) Taylor, 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wayne Taylor and a daughter, Michelle Taylor.
