Dustan "Dusty" Edwin Eagar

Dustan “Dusty” Edwin Eagar, 58, passed away, Sunday, March 12, 2023 in Springerville. He was born July 2, 1964 in Springerville, the son of Edwin Eagar and Emma Gloria Hamblin.

Dusty grew up and excelled at sports. He loved all sports and loved to be outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish with his brother and cousins. He was all-state basketball and all-state football. Dusty graduated from Round Valley High School in 1982 where he made life-long friends.

Dusty married Cindy on June 6, 1987. They had 2 children, Hayden (1991) and Ashley (1992). He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed taking them to the lake and being on the mountain.

Dusty enjoyed coaching in Round Valley for over 30 years. He loved all sports and sharing that with the youth of his community. He was a beloved friend, husband, father and papa to his granddaughters, Hallie (2018) and Kai (2020) and Rogue….coming any day. He will be remembered for his joy and the love he shared.

Dusty is survived by his mother, Gloria Eagar, Eagar; wife, Cindy Eagar, Ogden, Utah; children, Hayden (Chandler) Eagar, Springerville; Ashley (Michael) Ciminski, Ogden, Utah; brother, Brannon (Shannon) Eagar, Eagar; and 2 granddaughters, Hallie and Kai and 2 granddaughters on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Eagar and sister, Andrea Anderson Eagar.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
