Winnie Yvonne Tucker

Winnie Yvonne Tucker, 73 passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born May 3, 1950 in Springerville, Arizona, the daughter of Leroy Simpson and Bessie LeRue Hamblin.

Winnie loved the outdoors; she would ride for hours all over the mountain roads. She was very caring and loved her son Travis, daughter-in-law, Shaea, grandson, Bryce and her little dog, Okie.

Winnie dearly loved Alpine and enjoyed sitting at Luna Lake and watching the ducks. Grandma Sugar, as she was affectionately known, will be greatly missed by all that loved her. She would never say “goodbye”; she said it was too permanent. Instead she would always end a conversation with “see you later” so Grandma Sugar until we all meet again, rest for now you deserve it and we will “see you later”.

A memorial service for Winnie will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alpine Community Center.
