William Jackson Thompson, 67, passed away, Monday, August 14, 2017 in Springerville. He was born October 2, 1949 in Snyder, Oklahoma, the son of William Cecil Thompson and Cora Lucille Birdwell Thompson. Bill served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing. Bill was very talented in art work, which included metal work. Most loved was his family. Bill is survived by his wife, Leona Thompson, Springerville; son, William Martin (Molly) Thompson, Costa Mesa, California; daughter, Tiffany Cheyenne Thomspon, Manassas, Virginia; stepchildren, William (Kelly) Damon, Amber (Ray) Whitman, Leslie Damon, Don Looker, grandchildren, Anson, Matthew, Clay, Latrisha, Aimee, Courtney, Dustin and great grandchildren, Melanie, Aubrie and Rylan, with three more on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, E.B. Thompson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springerville Building.
