Sara Castillo

Sara Castillo, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Eagar. Sara was born April 6, 1931 in Lindsay, California, the daughter of Candelario Irigoyen and Soccoro Gonzales Irigoyen. Sara was raised in Durango, Mexico by her two wonderful parents. She had five sisters and five brothers. She moved to Springerville when she got married and is where she raised her four children. Sara loved to clean, take long baths and spend time with family. Some of the things that brought her the greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and the love of her life, Cesario, who loved her dearly and was by her side until he passed away in January at the age of 98. Sara was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife. She will be dearly missed. With God’s promise of a resurrection she will be reunited with her loved ones. Sara is survived by her 4 children, Susie Puledo, Springerville; Flora Villa, Mesa; Priscilla Weatherby, Tucson; Arthur Lopez, grandchildren, Melissa Franco, Immokalee, Florida; Michelle Cox, Austin, Texas; Jason Villa, Kingman; Rachel Villa, Mesa; Robert Villa, Mesa; Jacob Villa, Mesa; Weston Weatherby, Tucson and Whitney Weatherby, Tucson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandchildren, Aaron and Michael. A viewing will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at the Springerville Cemetery.
