Ruth Earlene Hoppe

Ruth Earlene Hoppe, 92, formerly of Nutrioso, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in Powell, Tennessee. She was born July 2, 1926 in Picher, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Opal Canada.

Ruth loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and God blessed her with a soft, kind soul of which she used to bless all those around her.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and family get-togethers. Ruth also enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. Many friends and family members were recipients of her beautiful handiwork.

Ruth is survived by her sons, William (Cindy) Hoppe, Jr., Nutrioso; Larry D. (Sue) Hoppe, Nutrioso; daughter, Linda Avery, Powell, Tennessee; brother, Bob Canada, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, William Hoppe, Sr., brother, Jim Canada, sister, Helen Canada and son-in-law, Carnell Avery.

Services will begin Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jesus First Community Church, Eagar, where a procession will immediately be led to the Nutrioso Cemetery for graveside services.
