Pamela Jane Ghormley, 63, of Safford, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 21, 2017 while in Texas visiting her family. She was born June 30, 1954 in Springerville to William Henry and Launa Hulsey Burk.
Pam graduated from Round Valley High School in Eagar and then went on to Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher where she attended for one year. On August 21, 1979, Pam married her eternal companion and sweetheart, William C. "Bill" Ghormley, II in the Mesa Temple and to this union they added a son, William Jared and a daughter, Heather Janae Ghormley. Pam and Bill were married for 38 loving years.
Pam was a homemaker who took great joy in raising her family. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings with her favorite being Primary, but she also loved Relief Society. In her spare time she graduated from the Wilton Cake Decorating class and loved to decorate cakes. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles, traveling with her husband, reading and listening to CD's and doing crafts of many kinds.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, William Claude Ghormley, II, Safford; daughter, Heather Janae (Brandon) Sagers, Fort Davis, Texas; son, William Jared (Toni) Ghormley, Holbrook; granddaughters, Violet Nicole, Lily Clara Sagers, grandsons, Cody Alan, Cooper Jay, Conner Scott Ghormley, sisters, Myrna Udall, Eagar; Glenda Burk, Beaverton, Oregon; Beverly Campeau, Springerville; Marilyn Cole, Eagar; brother, William Fred Burk, Grants, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Charlene Alexander.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 303 West 20th St., Safford, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagar Cemetery.
