Olga LaRee Merrill

Olga LaRee Hale Merrill, 67, was called home to her Heavenly Father, Thursday, August 1, 2024, surrounded by her family at her beloved home in Eagar, Arizona. LaRee was born in Springerville, Arizona September 2, 1956 to Clifford Hale and Marilyn Diann Cruce Hale. 

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

LaRee married the love of her life, Kaylin Crest Merrill October 20, 1972. Crest and LaRee were married for over 40 years and together they raised their three children, Weldon, Rachelle and Gerick.

LaRee worked for the Round Valley Justice Court and after many years she retired in 2016. She loved and cherished her family dearly. LaRee enjoyed camping, crocheting, baking, canning, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister and aunt. She will be missed deeply by all of her family and friends. 

LaRee is survived by her children, Weldon Merrill, Rachelle (David) Padilla, Gerick (Jessica) Merrill, grandchildren, Dustin, Wesley, Joshua, Trenton, Meranda, Marc, Kaden, Jennasea, Dreygen, Makenzie, Nova, Kimberly, Brendan, Kash, great grandchildren, Leilani, Sylas, Scarlett, Ila, Harlow, Riggs and her brothers and sisters, LaNita, Marilyn, Doyle, Tonia, Clifford, Daryl and Ina. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kaylin Crest Merrill, father, Clifford Hale, mother, Marilyn Diann Cruce Hale and brothers, Sheldon Hale and Audie Hale.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center. Interment will follow services at the Eagar Cemetery.
