Nathan Ezra Swapp

Nathan Ezra Swapp, 78, of Luna, New Mexico passed away at home, Thursday, October 19, 2023. Nathan was born August 20, 1945 in Silver City, New Mexico to Don Melvin Swapp and Anna Faye Thompson Swapp.

Nathan joined the United States Navy in 1963 and served for 26 years. During his career Nathan completed over 500 successful tailhook landings on an aircraft carrier. After retiring from the military Nathan worked as an instructor for Northrup-Grumman, retiring for the second time in 2007. Nathan’s three loves in life were planes, cars and his wife, Shirley.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Shirley, children, Jasson, Justine “Muffy”, Justin, Jesse, Jordan, brothers, Horace, Kenneth, Ronnie and sister, Inez. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Melburn.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar.
