Myrna Jane Hancock McGrath, 87, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. in St. Johns. She was born April 28, 1930 in Mesa, the daughter of Clarence Franklin Hancock and Velda Palmer Hancock. Myrna leaves a loving family and many many friends from down South in Thatcher to her final earthly residence up North in St. Johns. A few years after she married Raymond McGrath, they moved to Snowflake where they lived and worked in the schools for about 30 years. Myrna made a beautiful career of teaching the first and second graders. Being gifted with high intelligence and tremendous creative skills, it was her perfect career choice and second to only that of homemaker. Myrna was always given to serving with her utmost, especially in the church. Her testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was unshakable and undoubtedly still is. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
