Mildred Florence Evans Alexander, 102, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at her home in Eagar. She was born February 6, 1916 in Eldorado, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clyde Young Evans and Beatrice Higgins Evans.
Florence lived in Eagar for 8 years, moving from Roswell, New Mexico to live with family. She was an artist for many years and even sold many of her paintings. Florence taught private art classes and also taught art classes at the Community Center in Roswell. She loved to read and work crossword puzzles and will be forever missed by all who knew her, until that glorious day when we meet again in glory.
Florence is survived by her son, Jack T. Alexander, Los Lunas, New Mexico, daughter-in-law, Armelia Alexander, Eagar; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Alexander, son, Ralph Leon Alexander and daughter-in-law, Becky Alexander.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1413 S. Union Ave. Roswell, New Mexico.
