Michael Andrew Wheeler

Michael Andrew Wheeler, 61, passed away, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in Eagar, Arizona. He was born March 10, 1963 in Banbury, England, the son of Lenard Arnold Wheeler and Marilyn Mae Clark.

Mike was a hard-working and compassionate towards others. He enjoyed tinkering with new projects and did not like being idle. Mike was a Facility Operator #3 for Salt River Materials Corporation. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle in his free time.

We will miss his sense of humor and the positive spirit he possessed throughout his short battle with cancer. We will miss you, Mike; until we meet again.

Mike is survived by his mother, Marilyn Wheeler, Phoenix; son, Marc A. Wheeler, Florence; daughter, Mandi J. (Hilary) Wheeler, Kentucky; step-son, Alex Laborin, Tempe; brother, David Wheeler, Phoenix; sisters, Shari McKettrick, Phoenix; Misti Wheeler, Phoenix; brother-in-law, Sammy (Alicia) Chavez, Eagar; grandson, Tristan Wheeler, California; and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Chavez, father, Lenard Wheeler, brother, Lenny Wheeler, and brother-in-law, James McKettrick, II.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Johns Catholic Cemetery, St. Johns.
