Marybeth Wiltbank, 77, passed away, Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Chandler, Arizona. She was born January 14, 1947 in Denver, Colorado and immediately adopted by James Wayne Bennett and Billie Glenn Woods.

Marybeth was born in Colorado to a turkey farmer and married a rancher in 1970. The first 10 years of their marriage they lived in 5 different states before settling in St. Johns, Arizona in 1980.

While living in St. Johns, she raised 5 kids, became involved in the community as a 4H leader and managed the Apache County Fair with her husband for 25 years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully paid her tithing.

Marybeth taught high school Special Ed for 18 years; changing the lives of many of her students. She retired and moved to Eagar, Arizona with her daughter Stephanie and her family for the last years of her life. She was a lover of grandchildren, reading, Sam’s Club, animals, sweet pea lotion and keeping her son CJ’s grave embellished with flowers so everyone would know he is loved.

Marybeth is survived by her husband, Hal Wiltbank, who didn’t go a day without telling her how much he loved her, children, Cynthia (John) Blevins, Clint (Cherie) Wiltbank, Stephanie (Webb) Hogle, William Wiltbank, grandchildren, Stuart, Jared, Jack, Jane, Weston, Pacer, Julia, Colter, Rosie, Kade, Tylee, Clance and great granddaughter, Everleigh.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, CJ and her parents.

A viewing will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns. A private family service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024. Interment will be held at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
