Manuel “Pee Wee” Ray Jaramillo, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his home in Springerville. He was born March 4, 1934 in Springerville, the son of Manuel Serna Jaramillo and Rose Silva Jaramillo.
“Pee Wee” was a life-long resident of Springerville. He was an avid outdoorsman. Many knew him as “chili maker” as he always made the best green chili and loved sharing with others. He was a truck driver for over 50 years and was proud to have taught Karen to share the road with him. They traveled over a million plus miles together. “Pee Wee” loved going to the casino and was a member of the Apache County ATV Club, where he was a lead rider on the Petroglyph Trail. He so loved driving his Razor.
He was a family man and always shared his outdoor adventures and enjoyed making memories with his family to cherish. He loved his time with the grandkids so much, showing them what he loved.
“Pee Wee” and Karen were married for 45 years and have gone and done so much together. He will be truly missed by family and friends.
“Pee Wee” is survived by his wife, Karen, Springerville; sons, Gabriel Jaramillo, Winslow; Jonathan Jaramillo, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Timothy (Jessica) Jaramillo, Phoenix; daughters, Charlotte Aguilar, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Alison (Brian) Cooper, Goodyear; Adrienne (Tim) Hessefeldt, Phoenix; brother-in-law, Frank Kortlee, sister, Gloria (Steve) McInelly, 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Londie Kortlee, son, Jerry Jaramillo, daughter, Patricia Pam, granddaughter, Rosemary Hernandez and great granddaughter, Faith Hernandez.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Springerville.
