Madolyn Lenora Smith

April 6, 1948 — November 25, 2018

Lenora died in her sleep, at her home in Eagar, Sunday morning, November 25, 2018 after a long struggle with many issues including chronic pain from a series of unsuccessful spine surgeries.

She was born April 6, 1948 in East St. Louis, Illinois. Her family moved to Phoenix in 1961, where she met the love of her life, Tim L. Smith at Cortez High School in Phoenix. They were married January 22, 1968 and had two wonderful children, son, Tim Jr. and daughter, Brandi. Lenora was retired from Honeywell Corp. where she was an Electronic Specialist in the Aerospace industry.

Lenora loved crafts, sewing and quilt making, but was unable to do much of it in her later years due to her declining health.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy “Tim” L. Smith, Eagar; son, Timothy (Cindy) L. Smith, Jr., San Antonio, Texas; grandson, Zach and granddaughter, Ashley, San Antonio, Texas; grandson, Brandon Smith and granddaughter, Daphne Smith, Colorado Springs, Colorado; granddaughter, Katreena Newhouse, Mason City, Iowa; and son-in-law, Brian Newhouse, Stuart, Florida.

Lenora was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandi.

Lenora has been cremated and her ashes will be put in a special place in the White Mountains of Eastern Arizona this Spring.

There are no services planned at this time, but a celebration of life may be held at the American Legion Post #30 in Springerville in January. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, was very patriotic and loved her country and its veterans.
