Lucy Trujillo Barnes

Lucy Barnes, 80, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 in Springerville. She was born September 6, 1941 in Reserve, New Mexico, the daughter of Jose Luis Trujillo and Maria Moya.

Lucy enjoyed baking and gardening and made the best empanadas and tamales. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and had many special friends and family.

Lucy worked at the Pastime Bar for 20 plus years and at Uncle Bill’s Bar for 10 years. She had many friends and family who she loved and cared for.

Lucy is survived by her sons, Darrell (Nancy) Pipkins, Richland, Washington; Dwayne Pipkins, Reserve, New Mexico; daughter, Rita (Robert) Sierra, Reserve, New Mexico; brother, Morris Trujillo, sisters, Polly Carrejo, Maggie Martinez, Beatrice Lopez, 5 grandchildren, Darron, Heidi, DJ, Robert, Vincent and 9 great grandchildren, Rylee Ann, Tessa, William, Danielle, Tristan, Tasha, Elvis Rose, Edie Moon and Trixie Rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Demie Joe Pipkins, husband, Bob Barnes, brother, Orlando Trujillo, and sisters, Anita Carrejo, Threasa Estrada and Louella Fajardo.

Rosary will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. at the Santo Nino Catholic Church, Aragon, New Mexico, followed by a memorial Mass at 9:00 a.m.
