Loretta Winona "Nona" Ashcroft

Loretta Winona “Nona” Ashcroft, 79, passed away, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at her home, surrounded by all of her children and many grandchildren. She was born August 26, 1938 in Vernon, the daughter of LD Austin and Georgia Mary Gillespie Austin.
Nona worked for the Round Valley School District for 19 years, retiring in 2001. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities over her lifetime such as Relief Society, Young Women’s and Primary to name a few. No calling was more important than that of wife and mother. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Nona is survived by her sons, Bryan (Juliette) Ashcroft, Dean (Mitzi) Ashcroft, Wallace (Deon) Ashcroft, Austin (Theresa) Ashcroft, daughters, Cindy Cherry, Colette (Tom) Merrill, Laurie (Calvin) Gardner, Loni Ashcroft, brothers, Danny (Judy) Austin, Boyd (Joy) Austin, Gary (Edith) Austin, 32 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery.
