LaVor Nikolaus

LaVor Nikolaus, 81, passed away, Saturday, November 30, 2024 at his home in Luna, New Mexico. He was born July 4, 1943 in Snowflake, Arizona, the son of Henry Isreal Nikolaus and Clara McNeil.

LaVor served his country in the United States Army from 1966-1970. He was a retail manager for Sears, retiring in 2010. He loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna Lea Nikolaus, Luna, New Mexico; son, Troy (Jenifer) Chandler; daughters, Traci (Steve) Wilbur, Phoenix; LeAnne Nikolaus, Glendale; granddaughters, Helen  and Clara, sisters, Colleen McMullin, Bonita Philibert.

LaVor was preceded in death by his parents, son, Daniel Nikolaus, brothers, Merlin, LaRue and LaMell Nikolaus and sisters, Roxie, Sylvia and Dianne.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Luna, New Mexico building, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Luna Cemetery.
