Laura Mae Slade McInnes

Laura Mae Slade McInnes, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, August 20, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was born in Eagar Arizona on May 18, 1932 to Burdwell and Freda Slade. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Andrew Daniel McInnes and is survived by her 7 children, Dan (Arvilla), Mike (Jan), Melissa (Leland), Racheal (Paul), Graham (Eva), Jennifer (Leon), Jonathan (Kallie), 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and her 3 brothers, Pard (Sandra), Joe (SueAnn) and Ken (Susan).

Albuquerque was her beloved home where she enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, herding her yard full of turtles, watching birds and digging in the dirt. Laura loved everyone and her influence was felt far and wide. If you knew her, you loved her. She will be greatly missed.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Indian School Chapel, 12701 Indian School Rd., Albuquerque New Mexico 87112, with visitation one hour prior. A viewing will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N Main St. Eagar, Arizona 85925 followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagar Cemetery.
