Lamar Milton Gray, 87, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born July 29, 1935 in Miami, Arizona, the son of Ruby Boggs Havins.
Lamar made friends easily, enjoyed telling stories and had a steady presence throughout his life. He married Sarah Jean Crosby on March 26, 1964 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were married for 56 years until her passing in 2020.
Lamar is survived by his children, LaDawn DeWitt, Norma Gray, Michael (Heather) Gray, Jennifer (Travis) Swallow, Jonathan (Marianne) Gray, Leslie (Erik) Hawkenson, Andrea (Miguel) Quintero, Ben (Brittany) Gray, Sterling (Christie) Gray, Blake (Amanda) Gray, 38 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel, with visitation from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
