Joshua Mariano Chavez, 35, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 in St. Johns. He was born November 18, 1986, the son of Mariano L. Chavez and Angie Angeles.
What can we say about Joshua? He didn’t care much for crowds and never liked attention put on him; he was a “back row” person. Joshua was a good person inside and out with a heart of gold. He would take his shirt off for anyone who needed it, yet he could be a prankster. He was always pulling pranks on Dad and Mom; he could be so funny!!
He loved writing poems and lyrics to songs he was working on. He loved to cook and started his cooking skills at a well-established lounge/restaurant, where he started as a dishwasher and worked himself up to one of the main cooks. The big day came when the bosses offered him his own pizza line and Joshua took them up on their offer while living in Arvada, Colorado. He was quite the fantastic cook and loved cooking for Dad and Mom.
Joshua was a wonderful, loving dad to his only son, Reese. Reese is his dad to a T. Together they enjoyed camping and especially fishing trips. They loved that special time with each other; especially the story of the “big one” that got away.
No matter what, Joshua loved his family. The week before Joshua passed, he told his mom, “We have a beautiful family, don’t we mom.” He loved each and every one of us with all his heart. He will be deeply missed, especially by his mom who loved him unconditionally with all her heart.
He is survived by his mother, Angie A. Chavez and son, Reese Dean Chavez and was preceded in death by his father, Mariano L. Chavez.
