Jimmie Randell Johnson, 70, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 20, 2018 in Nutrioso. He was the husband of Mary Johnson and they shared 30 years of marriage together. Born in Boaz, Alabama, he was the son of Shelton and Lois Johnson.
He began his walk of faith as a Christian as a young boy. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Luke Air Force Base. He then worked at Lucent Technologies for the next 28 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, hiking, shooting and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and willingness to help others.
Jim is survived by Mary Johnson, two daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Mathes, Jane (Brad) Smith, sons, Terry (Tammy) O’Neal, Tim O’Neal, sisters, Judy (Ricky) Hayes, Sue Upchurch, brothers, Dixie (Joann) Johnson, Autry Johnson, Larry Donald (Gyleen) Johnson, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Bonnie and brothers, Harlan and Ted.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Jesus First Church, 138 N. Highway 180, Eagar.
