Jean Connie Johnson Hutchison, lovingly known as Jeanie, ChaCha and Nana, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the age of 80. She was born April 20, 1944 in Tucson, Arizona and spent her later years in the serene community of Blue, Arizona.
A trailblazer in mining operations for 22 years, Jeanie fearlessly broke barriers in a predominantly male industry. Her expertise and leadership led her to train others, sharing her depth of knowledge not only in the United States but also in Argentina, Chile and Peru. Her contributions and dedication to her field were noteworthy. Jeanie was also a proud member of the Blue River Cowbells Association, fostering strong community connections.
With a love for plants and gardening, Jeanie found peace and joy in cultivating life. She was an adventurer at heart, spending countless hours exploring the outdoors on foot and horseback, embracing the beauty of nature wherever she went. An avid hunter and a crack shot with her .308, Jeanie’s adventurous spirit extended to the thrill of the hunt. Jeanie also had a deep connection with animals, caring for many farm animals and sharing a special bond with her beloved dogs.
Jeanie is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Walter Hutchison, daughter, Shanna (Dan) Lefebvre, cherished granddaughter, Charlie Danielle Lefebvre, sisters, Ysabel Linda Panel (Scott Roe), Sue Ann Shore and brother, Victor Johnson, stepchildren, Sheila Hutchison (Steve) Koonce, Rachael Hutchison (Justin) Bailes, Thomas (Mandi) Hutchison, Ivy Hutchison (Nathan) Roth, Richard Wade McGee, Duane McGee, Lorraine McGee and Eileen McGee and 12 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Victor Johnson and Concha Nunez Revello, sister, Virginia Josephine Parker and her granddaughter, Lily Rae Lefebvre.
A celebration of Jeanie’s remarkable life will be held on her birthday, April 20, 2025 at the Hutchison’s Blue River Farm.
