Ida Rebecca Ruiz

Ida Rebecca Ruiz, 67, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Eagar. She was born April 6, 1954 in St. Johns, the daughter of Tony P. Garcia and Vivian Vallejos.

Ida’s greatest achievement was her 3 kids who blessed her with 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was a master at cake decorating and making the best traditional Mexican food which included homemade fresh tortillas.

Ida was a kind, loving person. She was a daughter, sister, mother, auntie, grandmother and great grandmother. She will truly be missed by many.

Ida is survived by her son, Tony Ruiz, Eagar; daughter, Angela Ruiz, Eagar; sisters, Kathy Rivera, Phoenix; Patricia Martin, Queen Creek; Janet Shurwin, Phoenix; Cynthia Croskey, Gilbert; Carol Garcia, St. Johns, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Stella Garcia, brother, Tony Garcia, daughter, Dolores Ruiz and great grandsons, Benny Horn and Rikko Tafoya.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity Chapel.
