Garry Edward Mott, 81, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. Garry was born December 10, 1942, in Great Falls, Montana to Wallace Edward and Alice Ilene Boughton Mott.
On June 5, 1965, Garry married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Bobbett, who remained his sweetheart for 58 years. Together, they raised three daughters. He was proud of each one and would frequently tell people all about them. Garry also took pride in his grandchildren and enjoyed having them as a part of his life.
After high school, Garry completed college in Great Falls. He then joined the United States Air Force in 1965, taking his family on a 20-year adventure all around the world. In the Air Force Garry was an accomplished fighter pilot, educator and leader. Following retirement from the military, he continued to work and further his education. Mostly, Garry enjoyed spending time at home with his family and beloved dog, Ginger.
Garry is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Mott, Tucson; daughters, Kristen (Stan) Sayles, Eagar; Shezza (Clayton) Carter, Draper, Utah; Alissa Mott-Welch, Tucson; sisters, Bobbie (Bid) Irvin, Lois Mott, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Garry has been reunited with his parents, Wallace and Alice, brother, Donald Mott, sister, Doris Mott and grandson, Preston Mott.
A viewing will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagar Cemetery.
