Elva LaFawn White, 79, of St. Johns, passed away, Sunday, July 1, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. LaFawn was born in Huntington, Utah, the daughter of Elva Hardy Jones and Warren E Jones, the third of four children.
LaFawn was a graduate from Monticello High School and a beauty school graduate. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States Mission. She married Ronald K. White on February 7, 1964 in the Manti Utah Temple.
LaFawn was a master quilter, seamstress, and painter, along with many other talents. Above all she loved being with and spending time with her family. They were the love of her life.
LaFawn was preceded in death by her father, Warren, mother, Elva, sister, Daisy, brother, Buddy, daughter, Abby and grandson, Ethan.
She is survived by her husband, Ron White, her children, Lisa (Will) Dunman, Queen Creek; Kurt (Lana) White, Clovis, California; Paula (Sean) Guthrie, Kingman; LaNette (Dale) Palmer, Winchendon, Massachusettes; Scott (Joanna) White, Goodyear; Mira White, Phoenix; Brent White, St. Johns; Carl (Tom) White, Phoenix; along with a brother, Richard Jones, son-in-law Jerry Alspach and numerous nieces and nephews. LaFawn’s posterity includes 24 grandchildren, Trae (Alyssa) Dunman, Tyler Dunman, Sadie Dunman, Kyle White, Cameron (Lena) White, Joshua (Kelly) White, Macy White, Ethan White, Zachary White, Britton White, Seth Guthrie, Madison Guthrie, Jessica Swapp, Katie Palmer, Shyla Palmer, Emily White, Wesley White, Ryder White, Michael White, Myung Penrod, Vahn Penrod, Lillie Penrod, Nolan White and 2 great grandchildren: Ellie Dunman and Payton Dunman.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel, 35 W Cleveland St. St. Johns, with visitation from 8:45-9:45 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
