Dora Nadine Trickey, 83, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in Eagar. She was born May 5, 1934 in McNary, the daughter of Benjamin B. Slade and Vera Jensen Slade. Nadine was a secretary/financial clerk for the Round Valley School District and enjoyed working there for many years. She appreciated the friendships of all those that she worked with. In her early years as a young girl, she lived in Winslow with her parents and then later moved to Eagar. She met her husband, Macky R. Trickey, Sr. when he was working on ranches in the area. They were married in July of 1954 and had five children together, Macky, Jennifer, Ethan, Kelly and Daniel. Over the years they moved to ranches from Springerville to San Angelo, Texas to Hereford and then back to Springerville. Nadine enjoyed hiking with her dogs, taking care of her many cats and tending to her lawn, flowers, trees and garden. She enjoyed being outdoors and being with all animals. She loved her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed being with them and seeing them grow. Throughout her life she especially enjoyed and appreciated a close friendship with her brother, Menlo Dare Greer and his family. She will be missed by all. Nadine is survived by her sons, Macky R. (Kim) Trickey, Nutrioso; Ethan Ben (Lisa) Trickey, St. Johns; Daniel Miles (Rhonda) Trickey, Concho; daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Randy) Kartchner, Eagar; Kelly Dare (Randy) Davis, Huntsville, Arkansas; 23 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Macky R. Trickey, Sr. and brother Menlo Dare Greer. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery.
