Donette Lester Bone

Donette Lester Bone, 58, passed away, Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Apache Junction, Arizona. Donette was born January 11, 1966 in Morenci, Arizona, the daughter of Donald Calvin Lester and Betty Barney Lester. She was the second born of five children.  

Donette was educated in the Round Valley school system in Eagar, Arizona and graduated in 1984. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and her Master’s degree from University of Phoenix. She retired in 2018 after a lengthy career as an elementary school teacher and her last position as a head counselor for Dobson High School in Mesa, Arizona.  

Donette is survived by her children, Anthony Wayne Bone, Jonathan Davis Bone, mother, Betty Lester, sister, Natalie (Bill) Levine, brother, Allen (Jenell) Lester, sister, Leslie (Ken) Daniels and brother, Jeff (Rachelle) Lester.

She was preceded in death by her father. 

Donette loved spending time with her close friends. She was a very creative person and one of the hobbies she loved doing was creating works of art with her beaded jewelry. 

Donette’s memory will be cherished by all those who were close to her.

A funeral service will be held, Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, 135 N Main St. Eagar, Arizona, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
