Donald "Don" Emmitt Farr, Sr.

Donald “Don” Emmitt Farr, Sr. 76, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 in St. Johns. He was born April 1, 1942 in St. Johns, the son of Dewey “Bert” Farr and Virgene Jarvis Farr.

Don loved his family and enjoyed playing sports, hunting, fishing and camping. He served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Texas and loved the Church and the community of St. Johns, where he worked for the St. Johns School District. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family, reminiscing about the “good old days.”

Don is survived by his sons, Donald Farr, Jr., Mesa; Charles Farr, Tempe; Matthew (Kristina) Farr, St. Johns; Alan (Jessica) Farr, Spanaway, Washington; daughter, Crystal (Les) Mortensen, Queen Creek; sisters, Mary Beth (Steve) Ellsworth Martin, St. Johns; Annette (Ron) Holt, Mesa; Jeanie (Lacy) Greer, St. Johns; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Huburt Farr, son, Benjamin Thomas Farr and grandson, Emmitt James Rogers.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
