Delbert Kim Penrod

Delbert Kim Penrod, resident of The White Mountains in Arizona, unexpectedly passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at the age of 66. Kim is survived by his wife, Shanna Penrod, sons, Rodney (Tahna) Penrod, Franklin, Tennessee; Brandon (Tina) Penrod, Vernon; Tyler Penrod, Mesa; daughter Destiny (Jake) Cates, Snowflake; brothers, Floyd Penrod, D. Rodney Penrod, Randel Penrod and sisters, Venla Hunt and Dorothy Brewer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Lamar Penrod and Beulah Goodman Penrod and Kenneth Penrod. 

Kim was born in St Johns, Arizona, January 1, 1959 to Beulah and Leonard Penrod. He graduated from Round Valley High School. He married Shanna Slade October 5, 1979 and had 4 beautiful children. He was a devoted father, grandfather and recently great grandfather, who felt family was one of the most important things in this world. He would be there to help anyone in need no matter how out of the way it might be for him. Anyone who knew him loved him. 

Kim was a master in carpentry and woodworking. He knew the definition of hard work. Old western films were a great pastime of his. He had a love for the lake and all the fun involved in being there. He had many other passions and hobbies mostly involving being outdoors; hunting, fishing, motorcycles and camping to name a few. Everything throughout his year revolved around getting things prepared for the family reunion. He was the goofiest and made everyone smile and feel so welcome wherever he was. 

He will be missed by his family and friends and all who knew him. A funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Vernon building, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Vernon Cemetery.
