Darlene Linford Fletcher Rea, 85, passed away, Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at her home in St. Johns, Arizona, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 18, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Leo George Linford and Lorna Bingham.
Darlene was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She lived a full and vibrant life, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Darlene is survived by her children, Curtis Nicholson, Denver Colorado; Eleana Rainbow Fletcher, Seattle, Washington; Cherri Luethe, Long Beach, Washington; Melody Graham, St. Johns; as well as her son-in-law, Evan Graham, St. Johns, due to the fact that he earned a place in her heart as her son, a brother, Lee Linford, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Darlene was preceded in death by her sisters, Laree Distasio, Irene Burnett and her parents, Leo Linford and Lorna Kottka.
She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Dale Fletcher and later married a friend of many years, her current husband, Thomas N. Rea on January 5, 1997. Together they lived a wonderful life of 28 years of marriage.
Darlene’s kindness, generosity, bright colors and warm smile endeared her to all who crossed her path. Her love for serving the Lord was evident in the way she nurtured her family and friends; always ensuring they felt cared for and cherished.
In her later years, Darlene took great pride in her grandchildren, Hannah, Sky, Anthony, Daphne, Eric and Kristi, who brought her immense joy as well as her many great grandchildren. She delighted in attending sporting events, school performances and family gatherings where she could shower them with her unconditional love and support.
Darlene’s legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the memories she created. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
A viewing will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
