Daniel Lawrence Hannah

Daniel Lawrence Hannah, 77, passed away, Sunday, August 4, 2024 at his home in Springerville, Arizona. He was born March 14, 1947 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the son of Lawrence Serril Hannah and Bonnie George.

Dan was a people person. He loved to visit with everyone and anyone. He gave a nice nickname for anyone he came in contact with. Dan served his country in the United States Army from 1965-1968. He was a corrections officer for the state of Arizona, retiring in 1997 and a rancher.

He loved his horses and took very good care of them. He was an auctioneer for over 30 years and he was very proud of the work he did.

Dan loved his family and his country and was very proud of them all. He wore many hats that called him: Colonel Dan Hannah, for auctioneering, Dad, Grandpa and Farmer Hannah. He loved them all.

Dan is survived by his wife, Shirley Hannah, Springerville; sons, Blaine (Whitney) Hannah, Pie Town, New Mexico; Brandon (Amanda) Hannah, Eagar; brother, Terry Hannah, niece and nephew, Meme and Ronnie Hannah, son-in-law, Barry Bradley and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his children, Gabriel Hannah, Nathan Hannah, Amber Hannah Bradley, father, Lawrence Hannah and grandparents, Carl and Hazel Allio Hannah.

A viewing will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
