Daniel Lee Bockus, 24, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 in Springerville, He was born November 7, 1993 in Springerville.
When Daniel was born “the world became 20% more awesome.” Daniel grew up in Round Valley and graduated from Round Valley High School in 2012. He worked several jobs after high school but he was always looking for bigger and better. When he started working for Arizona Dept. of Corrections in 2017 he felt like he had achieved that goal. He loved his job, but even more, he loved wearing that uniform. Daniel enjoyed reading, cooking, hiking, gaming and telling everyone how awesome he was. He wanted to travel and explore the world. He loved his little girl and was a big guy with an even bigger personality. He will be deeply missed by his many friends and family. On June 22, 2018 heaven became 20% more awesome.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Jeanette and Michael Smith and David Bockus, daughter, Rosilee Pearl Rogers, brothers, Joshua Bockus, Cody Bockus, sisters, Heather Bockus, Felicity Bockus, and grandparents, Leo H. Laney and Carol L. Bockus.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Myrtle F. Laney and grandfather, Richard C. Bockus.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Momentum Life (Assembly of God) Church, Springerville, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery.
