Craig Jonathan Isaacson

Craig Jonathan Isaacson, 57, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at his home in St Johns. He was born March 25, 1960 in St Johns, the 5th child of John Raymond Isaacson and Mary Lorraine King Isaacson. Craig is survived by a son, Koa Isaacson, Hawaii; two daughters, Acacia and Harley Isaacson, Mesa; and 4 grandchildren, Solara Isaacson, Channon Gasper, Makoa Isaacson and Brooklyn Gasper-Isaacson. He is also survived by two brothers, Bryan and Ken Isaacson and 2 sisters, Sharon Crosby and Pam Conant, a devoted group of nieces and nephews, plus a town full of wonderful friends and neighbors. Our "little" brother stood 6'10" and was always a delight to all that knew him. He was good-natured and fun-loving. Craig loved all sports, especially basketball which he played in college at Eastern Arizona and BYU Hawaii. He knew all the professional players on all the teams. As a boy he was an Eagle Scout and earned all the palms. He served a mission for the LDS church to Micronesia Guam. He loved gardening and planting HOT chili and wood working. Craig had a prolific apple tree and purple grape vines which he shared. Craig was truly blessed, especially in the last few years, with wonderful St. Johns friends and neighbors. They would often stop by and check in on him and bring him food, irrigate for him, mow his lawns, let his dog Tank in and out and bring him food from Wilburs, El Cupidos, and Circle K. Even the US mail lady would bring his mail out to his pickup. Literally thousands of hours of wonderful service were rendered to and for him, most of it anonymously. He was so appreciative of these acts. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel. His family will be there to visit beginning at 1:00 p.m. The services will be followed by a luncheon given by more wonderful people. All are invited to come by and eat a bite, and shoot the breeze about your Java experiences.
