Charlene Walker Cherry, 84, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, with family by her side in Eagar. She was born November 21, 1933 in Farmington, New Mexico, the daughter of Jesse Eaton Walker and Lottie Marie Stallings Walker.
Charlene spent most of her life working in the healthcare field, which she loved. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband, Edgar LeRoy Cherry were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 4, 1980.
Charlene was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a humble and kind woman who loved her family more than anything else. She was loved by all who came in contact with her and will be dearly missed by many.
Charlene is survived by her sons, Brent (Maritza) Cherry, Coolidge; Kevin (Daleana) Cherry, Chandler; daughter, Tiata (Clyde) Sorensen, Lehi, Utah; brothers, Verlyn (Abby) Walker, Danny (Margie) Maxwell, 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, LeRoy Cherry and brothers, Gwen Walker, Glen Walker, Jesse Walker, Roy Walker and Raymond Walker.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity Building, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery.
