Beverly Jean Brenner Martin of Eagar, was born February 10, 1945 in Denver, Colorado and passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 in Mesa at the age of 73.
Bev was adopted by Harold and Lucille Rapier Brenner and spent her early years growing up in the York and Clifton areas playing with cousins on the river. After losing her mother her senior year, the Darl and Erma Andersen family took her in and made her a part of their family. She loved this family dearly.
Always in the service of others, Bev was the first to reach out to those in need. She touched many lives through her thoughtful ways. Notecards, phone calls, visits and hugs were part of her loving nature. Music always played a part in Bev’s life. She loved singing in church and community choirs. Christmas caroling was always one of her favorite traditions. There was never a bigger cheerleader than Bev in behalf of her children and grandchildren. She went to every event that was of importance in their lives.
Bev had an abiding testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ and His great plan of salvation. Her greatest desire was to be like Him. She exhibited that in her love for all she knew.
Bev is survived by her loving husband, Charles Drayton Martin, children, Marcelle (Kevin) Donaldson, Eagar; Chantelle (Darin) Taylor, Lehi, Utah; Drayton (Amy) Martin, Eagar; Edie Martin, Chandler; Gaither (Rachelle) Martin, Queen Creek; Kate Dakin, Chandler; sisters, Stephanie Szmyd, Linda Monich, sister-in-law, Sydney Brenner, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bob and Corky and granddaughter, Sage.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery.
