Betty Jane McInnes Lund was born April 25, 1924 in Barstow, California to James King McInnes and Isabel Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irl J. Lund, her parents, brothers, James King, Drew, Murray and her sister, Hannah. She is survived by her youngest brother, Max. Betty grew up in Round Valley and married Irl on August 26, 1941. She is survived by her eight children, Sandra Taylor, Vickie Massee, Nadra (Leo) Laney, Brenda (Dave) Hagan, Dwight, Kim (Liz), Kristin (Davi) Higginbotham and Linette (Don) Chesnut. She has 44 grandchildren, 124 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren. She and Art Lee were married in 2004 and he also preceded her in death. Betty was one of the Modern Store Mothers. She was loved by many children who came to buy penny candy and teenagers and adults who came to shop and visit. Betty loved her community, served her family all her life and was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She taught in Primary, served in Relief Society and was a visiting teacher. She lived in Mesa for a period of time and also spent time in Safford, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Fresno, Sacramento and Lamore, California while living with several of her children, before returning to Arizona to live near family here. A viewing will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N. Main St, Eagar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery.
