Bette Ruth Estes McCall

Bette Ruth Estes McCall, 75, passed away, Monday, December 30, 2024 at her home in Eagar, Arizona. She was born August 19, 1949 in Springerville, Arizona, the daughter of John Elzy Estes and Effie Cleveland.

Bette was a loving mother and grandmother who always put everyone’s needs above her own. She was a woman who loved serving others and dedicated her life to serving her family and her church.

One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart and it showed through the time, service, love, talks and interest she had with each one.

She had many loves in this life. Some included quilting, gardening, running and genealogy. She also loved horses and chasing cows! She could ride with the best of them and probably saved a few lives with her quick thinking and amazing horsemanship. Spending time at the ranch gathering cows and branding with the family was one of her favorite things to do.

Bette was a loyal friend, loved by many, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be remembered for her giving heart and the selfless service she rendered so willingly.

Bette is survived by her husband, James “Jack” McCall, Eagar; sons, James “Mac” McCall, Eagar, Cameron Glick McCall, Eagar; daughter, Marti Elizabeth McCall, Eagar; brothers, Daniel “Danny” Estes, Michael Estes, sisters, Wendy Crowther, Tamara Quetel, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Lonnie Estes and Corwin Estes.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity building, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
