Alan Lane Millett was born on Easter day, March 29, 1970 in Whittier, California and passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, October 26, 2017 as the result of an accident. He was doing what he liked to do, serving others. Alan was the fourth child of six and is survived by his mother, Lucille Ashcroft, step-father, Ross Ashcroft, father, A. Lane Millett, step-mother, JoAn Millett, sisters, Heather Evans, Sheila (Mark) Edmond, Carla (Chuck) Kammer and brother, Mark (Michelle) Millett. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Millett. Alan was in special education throughout school. When he graduated from high school the students cheered for him. He worked at Deseret Industries, Carl’s Jr. and at Basha’s for over 10 years in Taylor and Eagar. Alan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in any way he could. He volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul in Springerville and was blessed to be able to serve a short mission with his parents in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. He loved to serve in the Temple each Tuesday. Alan loved participating in the Special Olympics and has many medals and trophies to show for it. He always wanted to work and it was hard to get him to stop to take a rest even when he was tired; we could count on him to put the garbage out every Tuesday morning at 4:00 a.m. Alan loved people and was loved by many people and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior.
