Bill G. Green, 83, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his home in Quemado, New Mexico. He was born January 12, 1934 in Lovington, New Mexico, the son of William Fletcher Green and Rose Lucille Gardner Green. Bill was a cattle rancher for all of his life. Ranchers never retire. He was a true cowboy. Bill ran the Hubble Cattle Company for 22 years. He then leased the land and ran it for another 20 years. Bill was a loving husband and father. He was a great example of honesty, integrity and compassion. He will be very missed. Bill is survived by his spouse of 58 ½ years, Karolie Clawson Green; sons, Bill F. (Dawn Rae Olivera) Green, Quemado, New Mexico; Buster F. (Sharon L. Woods) Green, Quemado, New Mexico; daughter, Anne Lee (Joseph M.) Bond, Quemado, New Mexico; brother, Dennis Delbert Green, Delta Junction, Alaska; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert Fletcher Green and James William Green. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Quemado Memorial Scholarship Fund, Quemado Schools 3484 US-60 Quemado, New Mexico 87829.A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Quemado High School Gymnasium, 3484 US-60, Quemado, New Mexico 87829, with visitation from 9:45-10:45 a.m. A luncheon will be held after the service. Interment will follow the services at the Green Family Ranch.
