George Edward Pierce, 79, a resident of Show Low, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Eagar. He was born September 16, 1937 in Gadsden, Alabama, the son of George W Pierce and Marie Sue Bates Pierce.
George served in the United States Air Force and Navy. He worked as a draftsman for the phone company and was a cook at the Snowflake pulp mill. George was an artist and enjoyed doing carpentry work and performing service for his church.
George is survived by his sons, Lawrence Pierce, Prescott; Steve Pierce, Flagstaff; stepson, William Franks, Show Low; stepdaughter, Diane Franks, Eagar; 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 201 E Whipple St. Show Low.
